Cookie Policy

1. What a cookie is, and what we use instead

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device, typically sent back to the server with every request. Sowur Shield does not use cookies at all.

The site does use browser local storage, a related technology. The important difference is that local storage is never transmitted to a server: it stays in your browser, on your device. We use it for exactly two things, both of which exist purely to make the game work the way you asked it to.

2. Everything this site stores on your device

Neither entry contains personal data, neither is used to profile you, and neither is readable by us or by any third party. We receive no copy of either.

3. What we deliberately do not use

4. Third-party requests

Two external requests happen when the page loads, neither of which sets a cookie on this site:

Both are covered in more detail in our Privacy Policy.

5. Do I need to consent?

No. EU/UK ePrivacy rules and Brazil’s LGPD require consent before storing information on your device unless that storage is strictly necessary for a service you explicitly requested. Remembering the language you just clicked, and saving the game you are playing, both fall squarely within that exemption. Since we run no analytics or advertising storage, there is nothing left to ask you about — and we would rather not show you a pointless banner.

If we ever add analytics or any non-essential storage, we will add a proper consent banner that asks first and works without pre-ticked boxes, and we will update this page before that goes live.

6. How to remove what is stored

You are always in control of both entries above. To remove them:

Be aware that clearing this data also deletes your saved games permanently, since we hold no backup of them.
